Be patient, all will be revealed.
This moment on the eastern side of Wallowa Lake outside Joseph, Or. was captured one fine day last June by my friend Troy Nave (bottom of link page). That was the first time Troy and his buoyant wife Dana (nickname Tigger) took me hiking in their wilderness, and where I first saw a native clematis anywhere in the world.
This was also a trip where Starlet did some of her best posing, often looking as if nothing pleased her more than to roam in the great wild. This of course is preposterous because the only thing that pleases and motivates my Starry is being one moment closer to her next meal.

Isn't Joseph a fun little town?!
Great picture Ketzel .. I will wait here by the fire with my hot chocolate and gaze at the stars until you begin.
Oh man. What's up with Starlet? After all that craziness of her getting lost and found. And now she's "not likely to be with us much longer"? Not fair. I protest.
Keep us posted Ketzel. I'm very sorry if you are losing your buddy.
Peace to you and Starlet.
She looks so noble and dignified!
i second jay's protestation. tell, tell!
**wishing i was going with you to istanbul**
Great photos...cool Starlet! Sweet dog.
More will follow shortly, I promise. Am now down at UC Berkeley immersed in digital media training so I can get better at keeping you engaged, informed and suitably entertained!
That Scarlet looks Regal..Like the "Queen".
Have fun learning new things. We're waiting for the ...rest of the story.
As I sit here being bombarded with Photoshop, Pro Tools and Soundslide programs, I wonder if we all just shouldn't meet in a coffee house somewhere and I'll just do an old fashioned show and tell...
Sounds like you're having a good time, (I would enjoy that stuff). A bit of dissonance with that rather ominous hint at Starlet's precarious presence among us. Just hoping she's OK, whatever her soon to be destination might be.
Starlet is a lucky dog!
Talk about DISSONANCE! I barely have time to think about my dog and yet three days ago she was all I COULD think about.
It's all about the speed with which the strength in her back legs is giving way. A few days ago when I last blogged, they were going fast. I stopped walking her and she seemed a tad stronger.
So far all I've heard from my dogsitter(s) is that Starlet's looking a whole lot fatter. I guess that spells HAPPINESS to a beagle.
It's amazing how those furry folks claim our hearts. So sorry...
This new media, once in hand (and you don't have to be an expert) does have its wonderfulness like no other has...but it is a maze of new language and patterns at first.
Hey, Star has had a great time with you, you know. If she's getting ready to go, she's had a great 'retirement'.
