Heart of Barkness dogs are healthy, happy, spayed and neutered. They've had complete medical work-ups and their vaccination are up to date.
During their stay with us, they are taught good manners, socialized with other dogs and introduced to people of all ages. Living with them day by day, we're able to observe their moods, behaviors and idiosyncrasies and make informed decisions about their best possible human match.
While we do not discriminate on the basis of size, sex or color, we do admit a prejudice towards bright-eyed optimists of indeterminate breed. In our dogs, that is.
Although, come to think of it...
Because we do not think of animals as possessions, we do not sell our dogs. In order to cover our costs, however, we do ask for a $100 donation for every Heart of Barkness dog.
